Walk-In Door Problems We Fix Every Week

A failing walk-in door costs you product, energy, and health-inspection points. These are the calls we take most.

Door Won't Close or Latch

Sagging doors, worn cam-lift hinges, blown door closers, and misaligned latches that leave the door cracked open all night.

Ice & Frost Build-Up

Failed gaskets, torn sweeps, and bad thresholds pull humid air in. We stop the air leak instead of chipping ice every week.

Rotted Frames & Headers

Years of condensation destroys the wood behind the panel. We rebuild the header and jamb so the new door actually holds.

Rusted & Delaminating Doors

Peeling skins, crushed corners, exposed foam, and doors held together with duct tape — repaired or replaced to code.

Hardware & Safety Parts

Handles, latches, hinges, closers, safety-release mechanisms, heater wire, vents, sweeps, and light switches.

Full Door & Frame Replacement

Custom-built cooler and freezer doors sized to your existing opening — no box replacement, no shutting down the kitchen.

How It Works

1

Call or send photos

Text or email a photo of the door and frame. We usually know the fix before we roll a truck.

2

On-site assessment

We measure the opening, check hinges, gaskets, closers, and the frame behind the panel.

3

Repair or replace

Most repairs finish same visit. Custom doors are built to your opening and installed without closing the kitchen.

Walk-In Door Questions We Get Asked

Can you repair a walk-in freezer door instead of replacing it?
Most of the time, yes. Hinges, closers, gaskets, sweeps, thresholds, and hardware are all serviceable. We recommend replacement only when the panel is delaminated or the frame is too far gone to hold hardware.
How long does a walk-in cooler door replacement take?
Once the custom door is built, most installs take a few hours. We work around your service hours and keep the box cold while we work.
Why does ice keep forming around my freezer door?
Ice means warm, humid air is getting in — usually a compressed gasket, torn sweep, sagging door, or a failed heater wire. Chipping the ice is a symptom fix; sealing the door is the real one.
Do you serve my area?
We cover all of Oklahoma and Arkansas, including Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman, Lawton, Fort Smith, Little Rock, Fayetteville, Rogers, and Bentonville.
Do you also do cooler and freezer gaskets?
Yes. Walk-In Door Works is the walk-in door division of Gasket Guy, so gaskets for walk-ins, reach-ins, and prep tables can be handled on the same visit.
